Spaced
A long time ago, a mysterious meteor crashed into the island of Atlantis. In doing so, it released its powers, and all the Atlanteans suddenly turned from blustering cavemen to brainy scientists. They used this new-found intelligence to develop their island into a technological metropolis. Unfortuantely, a race of greedy alien geeks discovered the meteor and stole it from the Atlanteans. Now, the I.Q. of the whole island rests on two heroes, Biff and Spiff, who have boldly (if not foolishly) embarked on a quest to recover the meteor from the alien armada in their tiny little fighter.

As you've probably guessed, you play Biff and Spiff. Spaced is a side-scrolling shooter; move your fighter around and shoot down everything in sight. Powerups that improve your weapons and increase your lives are fairly common. However, Biff and Spiff forgot to equip deflector shields before leaving the spaceport, so one hit and you're history. Other than the great gameplay, Spaced features humourous in-flight conversations between Biff, Skiff and alien baddies, original music, a comical introduction, background effects and cartoonish graphics. - Gary Yeh
